The size recommended appears to be the correct size but this shoe is not comfortable according to my college student. He said he felt like he was wearing a dress shoe as far as how the ankle cut into his skin. The arch seemed too high for him (this is an unusual complaint) and he said the heel seemed unusually high and he felt like his balance was pushed towards the front of his foot which was weird and not comfortable. He did like the look of the shoe (green with the orange trim) but this one is going back.

I normally wear between 9 and 9 1/2 so I thought the Ecco size of 9-9 1/2 would be perfect. Unfortunately, it was too big so I moved down to 8 – 8 1/2 and then the shoe fit just right. Very comfy walking shoe.

i like the shoes but returned because they were too big. i am size 9 US and ordered a size 41 that supposedly is size 8-1/2 US. So I may try to get a size 41 to see if it fits
