Ever since my better half adopted a 1 year old dog last year, I’ve been without my wonderfully fitting Merrell sandals. Ruff! I’ve got a narrow foot and wear size 13 in all of my shoes (most of them Nikes) but some other styles as well. If you have wide feet, these sandals are for you but even then, I’m guessing you may need to go down a size. If you have narrow feet like me and need the stability of the straps and arch support with a flexible sole, then this is a fantastic sandal and it looks great to boot…but consider going down 2 sizes; in my case a size 10. Trust when I say your heels and toes will not be hanging over the ends. I’d say it’s because of the European sizing but I’ve found Clarks use the same type of over-sized last on their sandals as well (but those have always had a cheap feel and lack support). I would have bought another pair of Merrell’s but I really wasn’t feeling the current styles. Hope that helps!

I am a female who wears a size 12 in womens shoes. Being a size 12 makes it difficult most of the time finding a walking everyday shoe. I do the next best thing and order a 10-10.5 in mens. I gotta tell you, this is the most comfortable shoe I have ever wore. I’ve ordered my second pair. Rock on ECCO sport yucatan.

These are a winner. My old tired feet with bunions & hammer toes really appreciate the comfort. It feels like your feet are almost being massaged as you walk. I bought these for bicycle riding as I could never find a shoe that didn’t hurt. These are now my spring & summer “shoes” too. I am now a sandal person. By the way, I normally wear a 12 shoe & the 46 fits great.

It is difficult to know if a name brand is worth the cost when the founding ideals and standards of legacy companies have gone astray. In the very distant past I had Ecco walking shoes and they were the best ever, serving well for years and years. But I was skeptical about these sandals because they are sourced no differently than anything else on today’s market. I found that in comparison with other brands these Eccos (regardless of origin) appear to be of better design, material quality, construction, fit, feel and wear than the competition. Footwear assessment is completely personal but I have experienced none of the ailments, woes and miseries effected by other brands of sandals. My only issue was the European sizing: I had to exchange down one full size when using the conversion chart.

Build quality seems good, but they’re PAINFUL. The arch in the molded polyurethane is too high and digs into my instep, though I have a decent arch and am not flat-footed. I put them on, thought they felt nice until I stood up and took a couple of steps. OUCH with every step! I doubt the molded polyurethane will give and break in over time and even if it eventually does I’m not going to endure the pain in the process, so I have to return these. Disappointing, as they seem well-built and have what appears to be a very functional tread design.

Bought these for my husband who is suffering from numbness and pain after breaking his ankle. He had surgery to repair the ankle 18 months ago but it never stopped hurting. He was wearing bedroom slippers which gave him no support. I got this sandal for him several weeks ago and he loves them. Wears them all the time! Still cold in our area so he’s wearing them with socks. Has less pain!!!! Now he wants me to find him a walking boot from Zappos.

I love buying shoes from Zappos. What great customer service they have. They pay postage to you and back to them if the shoes do not fit. Amazing how quick their service is.

My 16-year-old is in the Autism spectrum and has never liked wearing sandals with straps because he says they’re uncomfortable. We ordered three pairs of sandals, and immediately after trying these Ecco sandals on, he said, These feel good. He prefers to wear them over any of his other shoes.

The most comfortable footwear of any kind I have ever had on my feet. Beats Keen and Birkenstock hands down. My only gripe is the Velcro on the rear strap becomes worn after 6 months of constant use. Absolutely the best ever!

Replaced my Keen Dakota’s in size 15 that I couldn’t find. Fit well. Fairly easy to get on with just the top Velcro strap released. Look nice! A little worried about my front left big toe rubbing in front strap when wearing bare without socklets, but they seem ok now wearing bare footed.

I have worn this particular model of shoe for a couple of years now. They are immensely helpful for my plantar fasciitis… no pain.
The only thing that would make it better is if the foot bed was NOT fabric. I got a wire brush I bought at the hardware store to scrape it but I would prefer rubber foot bed. My former favorite shoes had that but they quit making them. :/

This is my second set of this sandal. The pair lasted 5+ years through many conditions. Absolutely the most comfortable sandal I ever had. I could run, walk, hike, and go to the beach. They never let me down. I also purchased the full leather model which a more stylish for nicer occasions but just as rugged. I also have several pairs of their casual shoes and am just as happy. I would recommend to anyone.

The fist seems good. Sandals generally run a bit larger but the 3 Velcro adjustment straps help get the fit dialed in pretty well. I have been using Teva Tanza for the past 5 years so I thought I would try these. They seem to be more designed around hiking sandal support and seem very Sturdy. Looking forward to using them on the golf course. Seem like they have good grip and will be somewhat waterproof. Fitting is firm and supportive. I think they may a bit of breaking in but so far so good.

My husband likes ECCO Sport Sandals. He has purchased several pairs over the years. His shoe size is 10.5D. He wears a size 44 in ECCO sandals. They fit him perfectly. He did not like the Tarmac/Moon Rock color and returned this pair of sandals. He was looking for a light brown color. These sandals were a greenish shade.

I live in sandals for at least half a year (warm weather) and need good support. These sandals are more massive than any I have had in the past, in terms of the sole and even the straps, yet they hug the foot well and are comfortable. The front strap has an elastic band under it which makes it hard to adjust. I will have to wait to see if that is a problem or whether the band stretches to my foot size quickly. Overall, it seems to be a sandal for a few years of hard use.

Never owned anything like these and absolutely love them! I have only worn them around the house for for about 5000 steps as the outside is covered in snow and ice! Just can’t wait to take them for a real test drive!

My husband loves these sandals. They last a long time, so we don’t buy them often, but when his last pair wore out he asked me to order another pair.
He has severe arthritis in his feet and these are the best we have found so far.

Owned same style before..it is just fine. My wife has this style also.

very comfortable to walk in especially on uneven surfaces

These seem to accommodate my bunions and flat feet better than most. The multiple adjustment points help me to customize the fit. While not appropriate for walking or standing for long periods of time they will do for those times when I need protection for short trips
Julianne –
It is an all-day shoe. I walk 3 mi. a day in them plus the rest of the day—last forever–almost water proof

This is my second pair of exactly these sandals, so I knew what to expect. Well made, comfortable – lots of adjustments possible.

I have worn the Ecco Yucatan for years and years. This is my sixth or seventh pair. I go back to it for the comfort. I had plantar fasciitis and this shoe keeps it from returning.
Although I would prefer a rubber insole version of the Yucatan so that I can fully clean it, the Ecco insole prevents odors. It’s good to have a metal bristle brush for the occasional buildup.
In case someone at Ecco reads this, my favorite ever pair of shoes were like the Yucatan except had a rubber insole and removable back straps. That wouldn’t be a great Yucatan 2.0!

These sandals look and feel awesome. Size is perfect. The style is fantastic. I am super happy with my purchase.

I bought these sandals for my husband. He seems pleased with them, but he did not had time to really walk in them.
